Unlimited / Unmetered Hosting Policy
Last Updated: July 09, 2026
This Unlimited / Unmetered Hosting Policy (“Policy”) is an agreement between Nanoshellnet (“Nanoshellnet”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) and the customer (“you”, “your”, or “customer”). This Policy explains the terms and conditions governing hosting plans advertised as Unlimited or Unmetered.
By purchasing or using any Unlimited or Unmetered hosting service from Nanoshellnet, you agree to comply with this Policy and our Terms of Service.
1. Purpose of Unlimited Hosting
Our Unlimited and Unmetered hosting plans are designed for the normal operation of personal websites, business websites, blogs, portfolios, and small to medium-sized business applications.
Unlimited hosting is intended to provide flexibility for legitimate website hosting—not unlimited storage, backups, or resource-intensive applications.
2. Shared Hosting Limitations
The following limitations apply to all Shared Hosting, WordPress Hosting, and Business Hosting plans.
Storage Usage
Although storage may be advertised as Unlimited or Unmetered, hosting accounts must be used only for website-related content, including:
-
HTML files
-
PHP applications
-
CSS and JavaScript files
-
Website images
-
Website databases
-
Email associated with the hosted website
The following uses are strictly prohibited:
-
Backup storage
-
Cloud storage
-
File sharing services
-
Video libraries
-
Movie downloads
-
Music archives
-
Software repositories
-
ISO files
-
ZIP archives used only for storage
-
Personal file storage
-
Torrent-related content
Accounts primarily used for storage rather than website hosting may be suspended or required to upgrade.
3. Reseller Hosting Policy
Unlimited reseller hosting allows customers to create multiple hosting accounts, subject to fair resource usage.
Each hosted account should be used for normal website hosting purposes.
If a reseller account negatively affects server performance due to excessive CPU, RAM, I/O, or abusive activity, Nanoshellnet may:
-
Issue warning notices
-
Temporarily suspend affected accounts
-
Require resource optimization
-
Require an upgrade to VPS or Dedicated Hosting
-
Suspend or terminate the reseller account if abuse continues
Whenever practical, reasonable notice will be provided before permanent suspension.
4. Unlimited Bandwidth
Nanoshellnet does not impose fixed monthly bandwidth limits on Unlimited hosting plans.
However, bandwidth usage must comply with our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
Bandwidth may not be used for:
-
Public file distribution
-
Download mirrors
-
Streaming platforms
-
Proxy services
-
VPN services
-
CDN replacement
-
Illegal downloads
-
Bandwidth abuse
-
Denial-of-Service attacks
Accounts generating abnormal traffic that impacts network stability may be temporarily limited or suspended until the issue is resolved.
5. CPU, RAM, Entry Process (EP) and I/O Usage
Each hosting plan includes specific resource allocations.
If your account repeatedly exceeds allocated limits, we may:
-
Notify you of excessive usage.
-
Recommend website optimization.
-
Require upgrading to a higher hosting plan or VPS.
-
Temporarily limit resource usage to maintain server stability.
Customers are responsible for optimizing websites, plugins, themes, and applications to ensure efficient resource usage.
6. Database Usage
Databases should only be used for applications hosted within your hosting account.
To maintain optimal server performance:
-
Individual databases should generally remain below 1 GB where practical.
-
Excessively large or inefficient databases may require optimization.
-
Database abuse that affects other customers may result in temporary restrictions until resolved.
7. Email Storage
Hosting email accounts are intended for normal business communication.
To maintain server performance:
-
Individual mailbox sizes should generally remain below 5 GB.
-
Customers should periodically archive or remove unnecessary email.
-
Excessive email storage may require cleanup before additional storage is allocated.
Hosting email accounts must not be used as permanent email archives.
8. Unlimited Websites
Where a hosting plan includes Unlimited Websites, customers may host multiple websites provided that:
-
All websites comply with our Terms of Service.
-
The combined resource usage remains within reasonable limits.
-
Websites do not negatively impact server performance.
Unlimited websites do not include unlimited server resources.
9. Fair Usage Policy
Unlimited services are subject to our Fair Usage Policy.
Unlimited means there is no predefined numerical limit for normal website usage.
It does not mean unlimited access to server CPU, RAM, storage performance, disk I/O, or other physical infrastructure.
If an account consumes resources significantly beyond normal shared hosting usage, Nanoshellnet may request that the customer migrate to a VPS or Dedicated Server.
10. Resource Abuse
Examples of resource abuse include, but are not limited to:
-
Excessive CPU usage
-
Continuous high RAM usage
-
Excessive Entry Processes
-
Excessive disk I/O
-
Large backup archives
-
Cryptocurrency mining
-
Distributed computing
-
Video transcoding
-
Large-scale image processing
-
Mass email sending
-
Public download services
Such activities are not permitted on shared hosting.
11. File Transfer Policy
Unlimited bandwidth does not permit using hosting accounts solely for transferring or distributing files.
Hosting services may not be used for:
-
Download portals
-
Software repositories
-
Mirror sites
-
Public storage services
-
Backup repositories
-
File synchronization services
12. Account Upgrades
If your website consistently requires resources beyond those suitable for shared hosting, we may recommend upgrading to:
-
Premium Shared Hosting
-
Reseller Hosting
-
Cloud VPS
-
Dedicated Server
This helps ensure reliable performance for both your websites and other customers.
13. Suspension for Abuse
Accounts found violating this Policy may be subject to:
-
Warning notices
-
Temporary resource limitations
-
Temporary suspension
-
Permanent suspension for repeated violations
Immediate suspension may occur in cases involving:
-
Malware
-
Spam
-
DDoS attacks
-
Network abuse
-
Illegal content
-
Security threats
14. What “Unlimited” Means
Unlimited hosting means Nanoshellnet does not impose arbitrary limits on storage, websites, or bandwidth for customers operating normal websites in accordance with this Policy.
As long as your account complies with our Terms of Service and does not negatively affect shared server performance, you may continue using your hosting plan without additional usage-based charges.
15. What “Unlimited” Does NOT Mean
Unlimited hosting does not include:
-
Unlimited server resources

Unlimited CPU usage
-
Unlimited RAM
